Deep Cleaning Checklist: Room by Room

A deep clean goes past the surfaces you wipe every week to the buildup that collects over months. Use this room-by-room checklist to tackle it yourself, or to see exactly what our deep cleaning covers.

Every Room

• Dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, and corners for cobwebs
• Wipe baseboards, doors, door frames, and window sills
• Clean light switches, door knobs, and outlet covers
• Dust blinds and A/C vent covers
• Vacuum and mop every floor, including edges and under furniture that moves

Kitchen

• Degrease the stovetop, backsplash, and range hood
• Clean the microwave inside and out
• Wipe cabinet and drawer fronts and handles
• Clean the outside of every appliance
• Scrub the sink and polish the faucet
• Wipe out the inside of the fridge, if you've emptied it

Bathrooms

• Scrub the shower, tub, and tile grout
• Remove soap scum and hard water spots from glass and fixtures
• Clean the toilet inside and out, including the base
• Clean mirrors and wipe down cabinet fronts
• Check caulk and grout lines for mildew

Bedrooms and Living Areas

• Dust shelves, décor, frames, and tops of furniture
• Vacuum upholstery and under cushions
• Wipe mirrors and glass surfaces
• Empty trash cans and wipe them out
